Jean-Frédéric LeBlanc, MD is a staff gastroenterologist and Assistant Professor at Sacre-Coeur Hospital in Montreal, Canada. He completed his studies in adult gastroenterology at McGill University in Montreal and underwent further training in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) as a clinical research fellow at St Mark’s Hospital, London, UK, under the supervision of Professor Ailsa Hart. His research focuses specifically on the phenotypic differences of elderly onset IBD, as well as on the efficacy and safety profile of medical and surgical therapies in the elderly IBD population.
